The Chinese government-aided Cambodian stadium project is constructed by China Construction, with a total construction area of 82,400 square meters, which is a 60,000-seat mega stadium. The project started on August 31, 2017, and on August 16, 2021, it passed the completion inspection and acceptance. After the transfer of the project, it will serve as the national stadium of Cambodia, and will also serve as the main venue of the 2023 Southeast Asian Games, which will promote and facilitate the development of local and Southeast Asian sports and cultural undertakings.
